Botox and Cosmetic Fillers
Botox
We offer Botox, treatments provided by our plastic surgeon or physician as well as dermal fillers: Estelis™, Fortelis™ and Mesolis™, the only double cross-linked Hyaluronic acid on the market.
Botox is used to reduce wrinkles. When the serum is injected into the muscle, it works to block the nerve impulses, temporarily paralysing the muscles that cause wrinkles, thereby causing them to relax more. The net result is that the process of wrinkle formation is reduced. A smoothing effect is seen almost immediately and it continues to improve over the next few days.
The full effects of Botox injections can be seen in 5-7 days. Results may vary on individuals, depending on the severity of wrinkles and the strength of muscles treated. The results last from three to six months after which most patients gradually return to their former state. Normally, Botox Injections should be repeated every 3-4 months. Patients who have had Botox treatments over 12 months may only require further treatments every 6 months.

Acne Treatment- Three Step Protocol
Effective alternative to daily pills and creams
Acne is a common condition characterized by obstructed sebaceous glands, pimples and sometimes deeper cysts or nodules that occur on the face, neck, chest, back, shoulders and upper arms. Acne begins in adolescence and usually affects most teenagers at some time. However, adults too can suffer with acne. When severe, acne can often result in scarring. Even less severe cases can lead to scarring, if not properly treated.
Until recently, patients with persistent, moderate acne have been treated with only topical or sometimes systemic antibiotics. Recent studies have demonstrated, however, that certain discrete spectra can trigger endogenic porphyrins that naturally destroy P. acnes bacteria — and in just a fraction of the time it typically takes for antibiotics to work. Within eight brief acne laser treatments, over just four weeks, our combined therapy, including our Hydra Facial Treatment and Harmony®XL’s AFT can provide significant improvement. This is three times faster than common antibiotics and topical. Patients should achieve 80% clearance and treatments for acne take only a few minutes.

The first step in our Acne treatment protocol is our “HydraFacial” treatment. This treatment is the newest advance in non-laser skin resurfacing. Step 3- Acne Scar Removal with Laser Skin Resurfacing
In what can be termed as a major breakthrough there is now a new laser treatment to treat acne scars. The new Harmony Pixel Laser is a non-invasive treatment.
Procedure review
The Pixel Laser Surfacing procedure uses an Erbium Yag laser in resurfacing the skin. This treatment is state of the art, and is effective without the use of a CO2 laser and is without too much pain and downtime.
The Pixel laser technology tightens up skin on the neck, eyelids and works with overall skin quality by manipulating with the less than tight collagen fibers in the skin, while transitioning new cells. It indicates improvement in tone and texture of the skin, by reducing and almost removing discoloration due to age, UV ray exposure, while decreasing visible pore size, hyperpigmentation, and improving acne scars.
Usually completed in little under 20 minutes the results have been equal to those of traditional laser resurfacing techniques. The procedure prides itself on being performed with minimal downtime and discomfort, treatment protocols call for a series of 5 treatments, 2-4 weeks apart.
The technology is known as ablative fractional technology. Skin is treated by removing tissue via a dot Pixel hand-piece. Pixel technology is performed as a localized or “scattered” ablation vs. total ablation as seen in other technology.
The Pixel treats a small fraction of the skin, in a particular manner, where in which the tiny pixelations of skin are lasered within the assigned zone. The Pixel allows about 65% of the lasered skin to remain “as is” and untreated around the Pixel therapy treated areas. The untouched skin may then act as a reservoir for the promotion of rapid healing to the newly lasered skin, reducing the downtime significantly.
Skin resurfacing occurs as the laser passes over the affected skin to remove damaged outer layers and, through heat, stimulates the production of collagen and new skin cells in the underlying layers.
The Pixel technology allows for a smoother, tighter, and more improved skin texture after just several sessions, if not visible in the first session. The technology has demonstrated a triggering of biological responses that may lead to collagen remodeling; responsible for the smoothing of fine lines and wrinkles, improvement of laxity and discoloration.
The Pixel technology has been shown to improve the appearance of difficult to treat acne and keloid scars with just several treatments. The improvement that has been seen with tissue laxity, whether around the mouth, eyelids, or the neck, it is an excellent alternative to botox for several skin types.
