The Laser System
For all of our laser treatments, our facilities use the Alma brand of lasers as they use the leading technology in the industry, offering the safest form of procedures, delivering lasting results, all at the best price for our clients. For laser hair removal, we specifically use the Alma Soprano Laser™ system as it is FDA and Health Canada approved, with millions of safe and effective hair loss treatments completed around the world since 2005.
The Diode Method
The Soprano™ uses the diode method of laser hair removal to produce long-lasting results for our clients. This method witnesses the laser system directing beams of highly concentrated light energy onto the site of treatment. This beam selectively targets the pigment in the hair, leaving the surrounding skin unaffected, while penetrating down into the hair follicle, releasing the energy into the follicle and destroying its ability to grow hair.
A Cool And Comfortable Approach
By using this system and the diode method, we can perform effective and painless hair removal for all of our patients. The Soprano™ unique IN-Motion™ technology with a patented DualChill™ mechanism is what allows us to facilitate comfortable hair removal without pain. This technology allows the laser to send energy through a tip that is continuously moving across the skin, heating and destroying the hair follicles at a comfortable and gentle heat level.
For further soothing effects, the DualChill™ mechanism can be used to keep the skin cool upon application so you will stay comfortable throughout the entire process, no matter what part of your body you are treating. The use of this laser system allows for treatments that cause less pain, then say a waxing appointment, for an overall comfortable experience that provides you with excellent results!
Downtime and Results
Laser hair removal is a non-invasive treatment, so there is little to no downtime required for clients after their appointment. Repeat sessions are advised to achieve the best results, making sure every hair follicle is destroyed, to provide you with lasting hair removal. Typically 6 to 8 treatments are needed for lighter skin types, while 8 to 10 are advised for darker skin types.
Our patients’ comfort and safety is our highest concern here at LightTouch Med Spa, that is why we offer all potential clients a free consultation to discuss treatments with one of our highly knowledgeable and skilled medical practitioners. They can answer all the questions you may have and put your fears to rest, giving you the knowledge needed to make an informed decision about your treatment.
So overall, if you are still wondering if laser hair removal hurts, then come on down to our Markham facility to find out first hand how soothing an experience it can be. Please click here to get in touch at LightTouch and schedule your free consultation today!
