We offer PIXEL™ treatments as they are the fastest way to deal with acne, scars and stretch marks after weight gain, rapid weight loss, or pregnancy. PIXEL™ treatments stimulate collagen production beneath the dermis to create a healthier foundation for the skin. Not only does this treatment remove unwanted stretch marks, acne, and scarring, but it also rejuvenates the skin. We use PIXEL™ technology by Alma Lasers™ as it is the gold standard in skin rejuvenation and scar removal. This procedure removes stretch marks, scarring, and acne by way of resurfacing the skin and removing any damaged skin cells. Frational, non-ablative resurfacing treatments are the safest, most effective approach at improving the skin’s elasticity, complexion, and eliminating skin imperfections.

Before Pixel™ Treatment

Before your treatment, we highly recommend booking in for a free consultation so that you have an opportunity to meet our practitioner who will be conducting your treatment. This is a great opportunity to ask any and all questions that you have about our technology, facility, and what to expect during and after your treatment. We will also discuss pricing with you, as pricing can vary depending on the skin condition you are having treated and the number of treatments needed to eradicate them.

During Pixel™ Treatment

During a PIXEL™ treatment, you must wear protective eyewear at all times. Pixel™ treatments can damage the eyes, and so all patients and practitioners must protect their eyes. Additionally, during your treatment, you can expect to experience mild discomfort as the laser creates tiny puncture wounds in the skin in order to stimulate collagen and even out the complexion and foundation of the skin. PIXEL™ treatments take approximately 30 minutes to perform. During this 30 minute period, the laser resurfaces the skin, thereby removing any damaged skin cells using a fractional non-ablative method.

After Pixel™ Treatment

After a PIXEL™ treatment you can expect some down time, depending on the area you’ve had treated. We highly recommend refraining from washing the treated area with anything for 1-3 days. Refrain from putting water on your face as well. Avoid subjecting the treated area to sunlight after treatment. Blistering, swelling, and scabbing commonly occur after laser acne scar treatments. Scabbing can last up to one week post-treatment. If blistering, swelling, or scabbing persist past the one week mark, consult your practitioner. Depending on the severity of your skin condition, multiple treatments may be required for best results.

How does this treatment work?

PIXEL™ treatments are fractional, non-ablative skin resurfacing treatments that remove acne, scars, and even stretch marks. Clients will notice gradual improvements as the laser stimulates collagen production, in turn, smoothing out and tightening the skin. Most often, clients notice that the texture of their skin improves gradually over the course of three to eight treatments, depending on the severity of the skin condition. On average, PIXEL™ treatments reduce the appearance of scars and acne by 50% to 80%.

Is this treatment safe?

All treatments offered at LightTouch Med Spa™ are FDA and Health Canada approved. There are contraindications that would deem this type of treatment unsuitable for individuals in certain circumstances, as listed below.

• Malignant or premalignant pigmented lesions
• Photosensitive medications
• Pacemaker or internal defibrillator

When will I see results?

Results will vary from person to person. Depending on the severity of your skin condition, you may need a series of eight treatments. For those with less severe stretch marks, typically 2-3 treatments are required. Once again, during a consultation, our team of medical professionals can determine how long it will be approximately before you see desired results.
