Side Effects of Botox® for Markham Residents

Side Effects of Botox® for Markham Residents

Have You Wondered About the Side Effects of Botox®?

Many men and women have asked about the side effects of Botox®, and during free consultations at LightTouch Med Spa, we have really learned what those top concerns are. We are passionate about educating our clients, so we’ve decided to demystify some of the concerns surrounding Botox®, and discuss the main side effects so that you can make a sound decision that is right for you. Read below for more information on the most common side effects!

Common Concerns

One common concern that our clients have surrounding the side effects of Botox® is potential for drooping eyelids to occur. While we have seen this on a rare occasion, our Nurse injector is highly trained and experienced, and knows where the appropriate injection sites are in order to avoid eye drooping. With that being said, we cannot guarantee that this will not happen, which is why we encourage you do to do your research before receiving treatment.

Can I Exercise afterwards?

We highly recommend that you do not engage in strenuous activity, exercise, or hot yoga for 24 hours after treatment to avoid any adverse side effects of Botox®. In addition to strenuous exercise, we highly recommend avoiding alcohol consumption before and after treatment. We encourage potential clients to book a free consultation with our Nurse injector to further discuss activities that you can and should not participate in immediately after injectable treatments.

Can I Wear Makeup After?

Yes, if you feel the need to wear makeup afterwards, you can apply makeup one hour after your treatment. With that being said, we recommend allowing your skin some time to heal around the injection sites. Wearing makeup on the injection sites right after treatment can cause injection site rashes.

Will I Bruise?

Similar to any type of injection, bruising is very common. We recommend planning your treatment during a time when you don’t have important social engagements if you do bruise easily. With that being said, not everyone bruises after having a Botox® treatment. Every individual is different with a unique skin type, and therefore will have a different experience post-treatment.
